Spiro Entrepreneur in Residence

During the Spring of 2020, I worked at Clemson’s Spiro Institute for Entrepreneurial Leadership. Every day, I worked towards creating my own company while bouncing ideas off of my peers. It is an amazing community of people who all strive to become entrepreneurs in an ever-changing society. I began with many ideas such as creating a system for scoring shotgun sports such as trap and skeet or developing an app to let dog owners know if the dog park was empty or had fur friends to play with at a certain time of day. Spiro pushed me as an intern to think outside of the box and strive to better myself as an entrepreneur. The mission of the Spiro Institute is to “provide an educational and research program in entrepreneurship that will contribute to the economic development of the region, state, and nation” with a focus on “wealth creation through entrepreneurial activity while attracting successful entrepreneurs to the campus to work with students in an academic setting.”
